# Limits at a glance

> How much content each block holds, the date rules, the time zone, how often theme sections update, and the date ranges you can pick.

## Content per schedule

| Block | How much content |
| - | - |
| [Image Banner](/docs/blocks/image-banner.md) | One banner at a time. Each piece of content has its own dates. |
| [Media Banner](/docs/blocks/media-banner.md) | One banner at a time. Each piece of content has its own dates. |
| [Media Grid (2)](/docs/blocks/media-grid.md) | 2 content blocks per schedule. |
| [Collection Grid](/docs/blocks/collection-grid.md) | Up to 4 content blocks per schedule. |
| [Collection List](/docs/blocks/collection-list.md) | No limit. |
| [Theme section](/docs/theme-sections/overview.md) | One row per card in the section, plus a **Section Header** row if the section has its own heading or text. |

When a block has a limit, **Add content block** shows the count, such as **Add content block (1/2)**. When the schedule is full, you see **Content limit reached**.

## Date rules

| Rule | What happens |
| - | - |
| Schedules can't overlap | A block shows one schedule at a time. Overlapping dates are refused with **These dates overlap another schedule in this block.**, or **These dates overlap other content in this block.** on Image Banner and Media Banner blocks. |
| Schedules can touch | One schedule can start at the exact moment the previous one ends. |
| End after start | The end must be later than the start. Otherwise you see **End date must be after start date**. |
| **No end date** on a schedule | It runs forever, so no other schedule can run into it: not one that starts after it, and not one that starts before it and is still running when it begins. Give it an end date first. |
| **No end date** on banner content | On Image Banner and Media Banner blocks, while any content has no end date you can't add more content to that block. You see **Give "…" an end date first. It has none, so nothing can be scheduled after it.**. |
| Content set to **Inactive** by hand | Ignored by the overlap and no-end-date checks on Image Banner and Media Banner blocks. |

## Time

| What | Value |
| - | - |
| Time zone | Your store's time zone, set in your Shopify admin. Every date and time you pick, and every date badge, uses it. |
| Block Hero blocks change | At the time you set, each time a page loads. |
| Theme sections change | At each schedule's start and end. Block Hero also catches up every 5 minutes. |
| Theme sections checked against your live theme | Every hour, when you publish or update your live theme, and when you open the section's page or click **Check connection**. |
| **Try again** after **Not published** | Waits up to 45 seconds for your store to confirm. If it's still going, you see **Still publishing. Check back in a minute.** |

## Date ranges for results

| What | Value |
| - | - |
| Presets | **Today**, **Yesterday**, **Last 7 days**, **Last 30 days**, **Last 90 days**, **Last 365 days**, **Custom** |
| "Last" presets | End yesterday. Today isn't included. |
| Default on the **Scheduler** | **Last 30 days** |
| Future dates | Can't be picked. |
| Longest range on a block's page | 1,100 days back from today. Earlier dates can't be picked. |
| Date badges on the **Scheduler** | Up to 2 per block, then **+** and a number. Upcoming schedules always show, whatever the range. |

## Counting

| What | Value |
| - | - |
| Session length | Ends after 30 minutes with no activity. |
| **Impressions**, **Clicks**, **CTR** | Counted from the start. No start date. |
| **Sessions** | Has its own start date for your store. |
| **Pageviews**, **Products viewed**, **Avg. pages/session**, **Added to cart**, **Added-to-cart rate**, **Reached checkout** | Start once the **Block Hero analytics** app embed is on. |
| **Orders**, **Conversion rate**, **Revenue**, **AOV** | Start from the first order Shopify confirms for your store. |

## Billing

| What | Value |
| - | - |
| Free trial length | Shown on the plan card on the **Plans** page, such as **7-day free trial**. |
| Who gets a trial | Your store's first subscription only. |
| Trial reminder | A banner in the last 3 days of the trial. |
