# Theme section problems

> What each message means when you add a theme section to Block Hero or when a connected section needs attention.

Find the message you see, then follow **What to do**.

## When you add theme sections

These messages appear on the **Add theme sections** page, next to a section you opened, or in a red **N sections not connected** banner after you connect.

> **Some images, collections or products in this section couldn't be found in your store, so nothing was connected.**
>
> **What it means**
>
> The section points to an image, collection or product that no longer exists in your store. Block Hero won't connect a section it can't fully read.
>
> **What to do**
>
> In the theme editor, open the section and replace or remove the missing image, collection or product. Save, then try adding the section again.

> **This section has nothing Block Hero can schedule.**
>
> **What it means**
>
> The section has no settings Block Hero can change on a schedule.
>
> **What to do**
>
> Pick a different section. See [Theme sections overview](/docs/theme-sections/overview.md) for the kind of sections that work.

> **This section is no longer on that page of your live theme.**
>
> **What it means**
>
> The section was removed from that page, or moved, after the list loaded.
>
> **What to do**
>
> Reload the page to see your theme's current sections, then pick the section again.

> **Your store has no live theme.**
>
> **What it means**
>
> Block Hero reads sections from your live theme, and your store doesn't have one published.
>
> **What to do**
>
> Publish a theme in your Shopify admin, then come back and try again.

> **This section is already in Block Hero.**
>
> **What it means**
>
> You've already connected this section.
>
> **What to do**
>
> Go to **Blocks** and open the existing block.

> **Your theme's sections couldn't be loaded**
>
> **What it means**
>
> Block Hero couldn't read your theme just now. This is usually brief.
>
> If the banner says **Block Hero needs permission to read your theme. Reopen the app to approve it.**, Block Hero is waiting for you to approve access to your theme.
>
> **What to do**
>
> Click **Try again**. If the banner asks for permission, close Block Hero and open it again from your Shopify admin, then approve the request.

> **Some sections may be missing**
>
> **What it means**
>
> Your theme has more files than Block Hero could read at once, so the list might not show every section.
>
> **What to do**
>
> Click **Load again**.

> **Block Hero couldn't load your connected sections**
>
> **What it means**
>
> Block Hero couldn't check which sections you've already connected.
>
> **What to do**
>
> Click **Try again**.

## On a connected section's page

Block Hero checks each connected section against your live theme. Open the block from **Blocks** to see its **Theme connection** card. When something needs attention, the card shows **Needs you** and one of these banners. See [Connection status](/docs/theme-sections/connection-status.md).

> **A theme update removed \[section name]'s links to Block Hero**
>
> **What it means**
>
> Someone changed the section in your theme, for example with a theme update or a save in the theme editor, and the links to Block Hero were removed. Since then, the section shows your theme's values, not your schedule.
>
> **What to do**
>
> * To keep scheduling: click **Reconnect** and follow the **Finish in the theme editor** steps. See [Link in the theme editor](/docs/theme-sections/link-in-the-theme-editor.md).
> * If you removed the links on purpose: click **Stop scheduling these fields** and Block Hero leaves them alone.

> **This section is connected to another Block Hero block on your live theme.**
>
> **What it means**
>
> You published a different theme and connected the same section again on it, so another Block Hero block now schedules that section. Two blocks can't schedule one section.
>
> **What to do**
>
> Keep using the other block. If you don't need this one any more, [disconnect it](/docs/theme-sections/disconnect.md).

> **This section is no longer on that page of your live theme.**
>
> **What it means**
>
> The section was removed from the page on your live theme, so Block Hero can't schedule it.
>
> **What to do**
>
> If it was removed by mistake, add it back in the theme editor, then click **...** on the **Theme connection** card and choose **Check connection**. If you don't need it any more, [disconnect it](/docs/theme-sections/disconnect.md).

> **The theme couldn't be checked. Try again in a moment.**
>
> **What it means**
>
> Block Hero couldn't read your live theme just now.
>
> **What to do**
>
> Wait a moment, then click **...** on the **Theme connection** card and choose **Check connection**.

> **Scheduling has stopped. Delete the block to finish disconnecting**
>
> **What it means**
>
> You started disconnecting this section. The section keeps showing the values you chose, and the links stay in your theme.
>
> **What to do**
>
> Click **Delete block** to finish. See [Disconnect a section](/docs/theme-sections/disconnect.md).
