block hero

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 8, 2026

The short version. Block Hero lets you schedule promotional content on your Shopify store and see how it performs. You pay through Shopify, you can cancel any time by uninstalling, your content stays yours, and we handle your shoppers' data only to run the app for you, as set out in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

1. Who we are and agreeing to these terms

1.1 Block Hero is provided by Three Two Studio LLC, doing business as Block Hero, 9510 Timberline Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46256, United States ("Block Hero", "we", "us"). Contact: accounts@blockhero.io.

1.2 These terms are an agreement between us and the business that installs Block Hero on a Shopify store ("you"). By installing or using Block Hero you agree to them. If you install it for a business, you confirm you are allowed to agree on its behalf.

1.3 These terms include our Privacy Policy and our Data Processing Addendum (the "DPA"). If these terms and the DPA disagree about personal data, the DPA wins.

1.4 Block Hero is for businesses, not consumers.

2. What Block Hero does

2.1 Block Hero lets you create content blocks (such as banners, hero sections, collection lists and custom templates), schedule when each piece of content shows on your storefront, and see analytics for it: impressions, clicks, and, for sessions that start with a click on a block, sessions, page views, add to cart, reaching checkout, orders and revenue.

2.2 Block Hero works through Shopify: a Shopify app, theme app blocks you add to your theme, an app embed and a checkout pixel. You need an active Shopify store, and you are responsible for adding Block Hero's blocks to your theme.

2.3 We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a feature that is a main part of your paid plan, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can. Features marked as beta or preview may change or stop without notice.

3. Plans, trials and billing

3.1 Plans. Our plans are listed in the app. Today each public plan matches a Shopify plan: Basic, Shopify, Advanced and Plus, charged every 30 days in US dollars. We may also agree a private plan with you.

3.2 Billing through Shopify. All charges go through Shopify's billing, on your Shopify invoice, and Shopify collects them. You approve each subscription in Shopify before it starts. We never see or store your payment details.

3.3 Trials. Your store's first subscription includes a free trial (currently 7 days). Trials are once per store: reinstalling or changing plans does not start a new one.

3.4 Taxes. Prices exclude taxes. Shopify adds any taxes it is required to collect.

3.5 Changing plans. You can change plan in the app, which asks Shopify to replace your subscription. How the old and new charges are settled is handled by Shopify's billing.

3.6 Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of a price increase for your plan. We will tell you by email to your store's contact address and with a notice in the app. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.

3.7 Cancelling. You can cancel your subscription in the app or by uninstalling Block Hero. Shopify then stops the charges. Fees already charged are not refunded, except where the law requires it. We may choose to give a refund or credit case by case. Shopify may also issue credits under its own billing rules.

4. Your content

4.1 Content you add to Block Hero, such as images, video links, text, links and templates, stays yours.

4.2 You give us permission to store, copy, process and show your content only as needed to run Block Hero for you, including publishing it to your storefront at the times you choose.

4.3 You are responsible for your content: that you have the right to use it, and that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe anyone's rights. We may remove content or suspend a block if we are told, and reasonably believe, that it breaks the law or these terms.

5. Data and privacy

5.1 Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect about you and your shoppers and why.

5.2 For your shoppers' personal data, you are the controller and we are your processor, under the DPA. You are responsible for telling your shoppers about Block Hero where the law requires it (for example by naming us in your store's privacy policy), and for showing them a cookie or consent banner where the law requires one. Block Hero's storefront tracking follows the choices shoppers make in Shopify's consent tools.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend your access if you do, after telling you where we reasonably can.

7. Our property

Block Hero, its software, design and documentation belong to us. These terms give you the right to use Block Hero while you have it installed; they don't transfer any ownership. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

8. Shopify, themes and other apps

Block Hero depends on Shopify and on your store's theme. We are not responsible for Shopify's services, for changes Shopify makes, or for themes or other apps, including how they display or interact with Block Hero's blocks. Your use of Shopify is governed by Shopify's own terms.

9. Availability and support

We work to keep Block Hero running and to fix problems promptly, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause it for maintenance. Support is by email at accounts@blockhero.io. We aim to reply within 2 business days.

10. Analytics are estimates

Block Hero's analytics count only what shoppers' browsers and Shopify report to us. Shoppers who decline analytics or have scripts turned off are not counted, some browser privacy tools may block counting, sessions follow a 30-minute inactivity rule, and orders are credited only when Shopify confirms them. Numbers may therefore differ from Shopify's own reports and other tools. Use them as a guide.

11. Disclaimer

Apart from what these terms say, Block Hero is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded, such as the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Limits on liability

12.1 To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, sales or data, however caused.

12.2 To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us for Block Hero in the 12 months before the event that caused it.

12.3 Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

13. Responsibility for claims

You will defend us against, and cover our reasonable costs and losses from, claims by others arising from your content or your breach of these terms.

14. Ending the agreement

14.1 You can end these terms at any time by uninstalling Block Hero.

14.2 We can end them, or suspend your access, if you seriously or repeatedly break them, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason. If we end them without cause, we will refund any fees paid for the period after the end date.

14.3 When Block Hero is uninstalled, its blocks stop showing on your storefront, your blocks and content in Block Hero are kept for 48 hours so nothing is lost if you reinstall, and then they and the rest of your store's data are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy and the DPA. Export anything you need first.

14.4 Sections 4.3, 7, 10 to 13, 15 and 16 continue after the agreement ends.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of changes that materially affect you, unless they are needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you keep using Block Hero after a change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can uninstall.

16. General

16.1 Law and courts. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana, and we both agree to those courts' jurisdiction.

16.2 Transfer. You may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, and will tell you if we do.

16.3 Events outside our control. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including failures of Shopify or our hosting providers.

16.4 Whole agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the DPA are the whole agreement between us about Block Hero. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not giving it up.

16.5 Notices. We send notices to your store's contact email in Shopify, or in the app. You send notices to accounts@blockhero.io.
